Get more accurate image OCR
Use a sharp, high-contrast image with upright text. Crop unrelated visual clutter before recognition when possible. Printed text is usually more accurate than handwriting or decorative type.
OCR output remains editable because recognition can confuse similar characters such as O and 0.

The general converter accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF when the browser can decode them.
Which language is supported?
This initial version uses the English Tesseract language model.
Why is the first scan slower?
The browser downloads and caches the OCR engine and English language model on the first run.
Does OCR upload my image?
No. The model runs in your browser and the selected image stays on this device.
