Batch Image Aspect Ratio Checker
Calculate reduced width-to-height ratios for up to 30 browser-decodable images without uploading them. See dimensions, decimal ratios, orientation, and matching-ratio groups in one report, then download the findings as CSV for layout planning or asset cleanup.

Built for dependable batch work
The ratio is derived from decoded pixel dimensions and reduced with a greatest-common-divisor calculation. It describes shape, not resolution, crop quality, focal point, print density, or whether an image will satisfy a platform safe area.
Exact reduced ratios
Built for repeatable image workflows with clear output evidence.
Decimal values for comparison
Your selected files remain in the current browser session.
Matching groups summarized
Each queue row reports its own result without blocking valid files.
Local CSV generation
Downloadable output uses names and formats that match the generated bytes.
How to use Batch Image Aspect Ratio Checker
A four-step workflow keeps the original files separate from generated output.
- 1
Add files
Choose up to 30 local image files.
- 2
Choose settings
Decode each image and calculate its reduced ratio.
- 3
Process locally
Review exact ratios and matching groups.
- 4
Verify and download
Export the CSV and plan crops or replacements.
What this batch tool does
The ratio is derived from decoded pixel dimensions and reduced with a greatest-common-divisor calculation. It describes shape, not resolution, crop quality, focal point, print density, or whether an image will satisfy a platform safe area. Every item is handled independently, so one unsupported or damaged file does not erase successful work from the rest of the queue.

Batch Image Aspect Ratio Checker guide
Use these checks to get output that fits the destination rather than stopping at a successful download.
How a reduced aspect ratio is calculated
Aspect ratio compares width with height. A 1920 by 1080 image reduces to 16:9 because both dimensions divide by 120. A 1200 by 800 image reduces to 3:2, while 1000 by 1000 becomes 1:1. Reduction makes differently sized images with the same shape easy to group without losing the original dimensions needed for quality decisions.
Use decimal values for near matches
Exact reduced ratios can become large when an image has been cropped by only a few pixels. The decimal value helps compare near matches: 1.7778 is approximately 16:9, while 1.5 is 3:2. Do not label a near match as exact when templates require strict geometry. A small discrepancy can create visible padding or another automatic crop in the destination.
Separate ratio from resolution
Two images can both be 4:3 while one is 400 by 300 and another is 4000 by 3000. They fit the same-shaped box but offer very different detail and processing cost. Use this aspect report together with the dimensions checker, not instead of it. A correct ratio cannot rescue an undersized source, and a high-resolution image can still have the wrong composition.
Plan crops around content, not only numbers
Grouping by ratio identifies which files fit a shared layout and which need attention. Before batch cropping, inspect faces, text, products, horizon lines, and logos that could be removed. Choose an anchor that protects the important edge or prepare individual crops for exceptions. Platform safe zones and responsive containers can hide additional areas even after the mathematical ratio is correct.
Batch quality checklist
Start with copies when the source collection is valuable, and keep filenames that let you trace every result back to its original. Test a small representative set before processing the full queue, including the largest file, a transparent image, a portrait, and a landscape image. After processing, compare pixel dimensions, format, file size, transparency, text sharpness, edge detail, and color in the actual destination. A successful browser status confirms that this tool completed and verified its expected output structure; it does not replace editorial review or the receiving platform’s rules. Keep the downloaded ZIP or CSV with the settings used for the run, then record exceptions that need individual treatment. For publishing workflows, also check descriptive alternative text, rights, consent, naming conventions, backup policy, and cache behavior. These steps make a repeatable batch safer than treating every completed download as automatically ready for production.
Ofte stilte spørsmål
Practical answers about formats, privacy, quality, and browser behavior.
How is the ratio reduced?
The width and height are divided by their greatest common divisor to produce the exact smallest integer pair.
What does the decimal ratio mean?
It is width divided by height, rounded for convenient comparison with common layout ratios.
Can different dimensions have the same ratio?
Yes. For example, 1600 by 900 and 1920 by 1080 both reduce to 16:9.
Does the correct ratio guarantee enough quality?
No. Ratio describes shape; use pixel dimensions and visual review to judge detail.
Can the tool crop mismatched images?
No. It reports ratios. Use the related batch crop tool after deciding the target and composition.
Are images uploaded?
No. Dimension decoding, ratio calculations, grouping, and CSV export stay in the browser.
What is an unusual large ratio pair?
It often means the dimensions do not reduce to a familiar standard or differ by a small crop. The decimal value helps interpret it.
